Aspecial election was held inDelaware's at-large congressional district on October 1, 1822[1] to fill a vacancy left by the resignation ofCaesar A. Rodney (DR) on January 24, 1822,[2] having been elected to theSenate. This election was held on the same day as thegeneral elections for Congress in Delaware.
