Agubernatorial election was held inVirginia on December 8, 1815.[4] The incumbentgovernor of VirginiaWilson Cary Nicholas was re-elected without opposition.[1]

The election was conducted by theVirginia General Assembly in joint session.[3] Nicholas was elected with a majority on the first ballot.[1]
