Aspecial election was held inConnecticut's at-large congressional district on September 17, 1810[1] to fill a vacancy left by the resignation ofSamuel W. Dana (F) in May, 1810 after being elected to theSenate.[2]

Ebenezer Huntington had also run for a seat in the 12th Congress, but lost. He took his seat in the 11th Congress on October 11, 1810[2]
