No licensedradio stations broadcast onAM frequency180 kHz any longer.[1] Turkish broadcaster TRT is reported to have used the frequency in the past. In the United States, this frequency falls within the 160-190 kHzLowFER band allowed byPart 15 of theFederal Communications Commission, and hobby stations are permitted to use this frequency.

The audio frequency 180 kHz has been used to track fish.[2][3][4][5]

"A.M. 180" is the name of a song composed byJason Lytle and performed byGrandaddy, an Americanindie rock band fromModesto,California, and subsequently byPUP, a band based in Toronto.[6]
