TheAnglo-Swedish Alliance was signed byBulstrode Whitelocke, representing theCommonwealth of England, andChristina, Queen of Sweden, inUppsala,Sweden in 1654. Its main purpose was to offset the alliance betweenDenmark and theNetherlands. It was signed on 28 April, but antedated 11 April.[1]
