It has two distinctprime factors,2 and617, making it asquarefree semiprime.[1] It is the number ofindependent vertex sets in a 4×4square grid, or equivalently, the number of distinct 4×4binary matrices in which no two adjacent elements are both equal to 1.[2]

A 2012 study of frequently-usedpersonal identification numbers (PIN) found that, among 4-digit PIN codes, 1234 is the most frequently chosen.[3]
