The11th Magritte Awards ceremony, presented by theAcadémie André Delvaux, honored the bestfilms of 2020 and2021 in Belgium. It took place on 12 February 2022, at theSquare, in the historic site ofMont des Arts,Brussels. It was the first ceremony in two years after the 2021 event was cancelled due to theCOVID-19 pandemic.[1] During the ceremony, the Académie André Delvaux presentedMagritte Awards in 23 categories. The ceremony, televised in Belgium byLa Trois, was produced by Leslie Cable and Tanguy Cortier and was directed by Benoît Vlietinck.[2] Film directorThierry Michel presided the ceremony, while comedians Laurence Bibot, Dena, Ingrid Heiderscheidt,Achille Ridolfi and Bwanga Pilipili co-hosted the show.[3]
The nominees for the 11th Magritte Awards were announced on 12 January 2022.[4] Films with the most nominations wereMadly in Life with twelve, followed byPlayground with ten, andAdoration andThe Restless with six. The winners were announced during the awards ceremony on 12 February 2022.[5]Madly in Life won seven awards, includingBest Film. Other multiple winners werePlayground with seven awards andTitane with two.
