The1000 metres,1 kilometer run, or1Krun is an uncommonmiddle-distance running event intrack and field competitions. It consists of two and a half laps around an outdoor 400 m track, or five laps around an indoor 200 m track.

The1000 yards, animperial alternative, was sometimes also contested.[1][2]
