An0-8-6-0, in theWhyte notation for the classification ofsteam locomotives bywheel arrangement, is anarticulated locomotive with noleading wheels, eightdriving wheels (4 axles) fixed in a rigid frame, six driving wheels (3 axles) and no trailing wheels. In theUIC system, this would be described as a DC't arrangement.
Six locomotives with this wheel arrangement were built byKitson & Co. asKitson Meyers for theTransandine Railway, three of which survive today.[1]
