Middle Welsh letter

Uppercase and lowercase Middle Welsh V

TheMiddle Welsh V, depicted as or, is a letter employed inMiddle Welsh texts between the 13th and 14th centuries.[1] It represented the sounds ofv,u, andw and – prior to inclusion in theLatin Extended Additional block of Unicode characters[2] – was typically represented by the letterw in transcriptions.
