This book is a guide to JavaScript, a scripting language widely used in web pages and web applications such as email applications. JavaScript is not to be confused withJava, which is quite a separate language for creating stand-alone applications.
This book applies to version 1.6 and later of JavaScript. Multiple versions of JavaScript are covered in this book.
