TheIcelandic Meteorological Office is located on Bústaðavegur 7-9, 105 Reykjavík. The office's main telephone number is: (+354)522 6000. Thereception is open from08:30 to 16:00 during weekdays.

Outside office hours, calls to522 6000 are answered by the warnings and forecasting room which is manned continuously. Depending on the circumstances, enquiries and announcements can be directed to the relevant forecaster on duty, the earth-hazard observer, the flood-hazard observer or the person on duty for avalanche and landslide dangers.

TheSnow Avalanche Centre of the Icelandic Meteorological Office is located at Suðurgata 12, 400 Ísafjörður, tel. +(354)450 3000.

TheAkureyri branch is located at Borgir v/Norðurslóð, 600 Akureyri, tel. +(354)4600524.

AtKeflavík international airport, the Icelandic Meteorological Office runs a meteorological and upper-air sounding station, tel. (+354)425 6259.
