Loïc Rémy announces his retirement from professional football

Loïc Rémy, the former striker for the French national team, has officially declared his retirement from football at 36 years old.
The announcement, made on Prime Video, signifies the conclusion of a career that spanned well over a decade and saw Rémy making his mark in various international leagues.
After concluding his time with Stade Brestois last season,Rémyopted to retire, leaving behind a legacy that encompasses 31 caps and 7 goals for the French national team from2009to2014.

Starting his journey in the youth teams ofOlympique Lyonnais, Rémy showcased his talent across numerous French clubs, including RC Lens, OGC Nice, Olympique de Marseille, andLille.
His career also extended to the English Premier League, where he played for Chelsea, Newcastle United, Queens Park Rangers (QPR), and Crystal Palace. Further stints in Spain's La Liga withLas PalmasandLevante, and in the Turkish Super Lig with Rizespor and Adana Demirspor, added to Rémy's extensive and diverse career path.
