TheYorba Linda Fault orYorba Linda Trend[1] is a fault system that transects theWhittier Fault and extends from northeastYorba Linda, California to the southeastern portion of theChino Hills andChino Hills (city), inSan Bernardino County, California.[2]
The fault was discovered in the late 1990s and is known to have caused theMw 5.52008 Chino Hills earthquake.[2][3] The fault is believed to produce a Mw 6.0earthquake at most.
