Western Zonal Council is azonal council comprising the states ofGoa,Gujarat,Maharashtra and the Union Territory ofDadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.[1][2]
The States have been grouped into six zones having an Advisory Council to foster cooperation among these States. Five Zonal Councils were set up vide Part-III of theStates Reorganisation Act, 1956.[1][3]
