History
editFounded in 1967, the club was tied withFurukawa Electric Company. In 1986, they had a moment of glory by winning the 22ndShakaijin Cup.
After changing the name in 2008 toSAI Ichihara Football Club, it was again renamed in 2011 toVonds Ichihara Football Club. The name "Vonds" came from the word "bond" inEnglish, changing though the initial letter to "V", which is a link to victory. The club is aiming to become aJapan Football League member and reaching professional football from there, as former parent clubJEF United Ichihara Chiba is no longer considered to represent Ichihara.[1]
Stadium
editMost of the club matches are playedIchihara Seaside Stadium (currently known as ZA Oripri Stadium due sponsorship) which has a capacity of 14,048.[2]
