Vincent Regan (born 16 May 1965) is a Welsh film and television actor.[1]

Early life
editRegan born 16 May 1965 inSwansea,Glamorgan, Wales.[2] He attendedNicholas Breakspear School, St.Albans, Hertfordshire, thenSt Joseph's College, Ipswich,[2] before going on to study acting at theAcademy of Live and Recorded Arts in London.[2]
Acting career
editRegan first came on UK TV screens in series 5 (1992) of LWT'sLondon's Burning, playing Don, the love interest of Firefighter Kate Stevens (Samantha Beckinsale). That same year he played PC Shelby alongside Sir David Jason’s DI Jack Frost in the TV seriesA Touch of Frost.Regan has over 15 stage roles to his credit, most recently asAchilles inTroilus and Cressida at theEdinburgh International Festival.
In 1999, Regan received an Irish Best Actor nomination for his co-starring performance in the miniseriesEureka Street.[2] In 2005, he starred asMarc Antony alongsideEmily Blunt andJames Frain in the miniseriesEmpire (2005).[2]
He appeared in theAncient Greece-based film300 (2006),[2] in which he played the Captain, andTroy (2004),[2] where he playedEudorus, Achilles' second in command, and playedKing Cepheus inClash of the Titans (2010).[2]
In 2012, Regan announced his intention to launch theEast Riding Theatre inBeverley, East Yorkshire, along withJudi Dench and other professional actors.[3] That year, he appeared in films such asOutside Bet,Lockout[4]
Regan is also a screenwriter and director, developing projects for his own film company. His script,Come Like Shadows, is an accessible but classic interpretation ofMacbeth headliningSean Bean andTilda Swinton and will be directed byJohn Maybury. He also appeared briefly as a sexually confused character in British seriesThe Street.[2]
In 2013, he guest starred in the first episode of Series 10 of New Tricks. He played the Duke of Savoy in the 4th episode of the BBC seriesThe Musketeers in 2014.[2]
Regan joined the cast of the BBC'sAtlantis as Dion for series 2 starting November 2014.[2]
He was King Simon inE!'sThe Royals.[2]
In 2023, he appeared asVice Admiral Garp inOne Piece.[2]
