The articleShelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce you nominated as agood article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting thegood article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. SeeTalk:Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce for issues which need to be addressed.Message delivered byLegobot, on behalf ofSportsfan77777 --Sportsfan77777 (talk)21:40, 15 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
The articleShelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce you nominated as agood article has passed ; seeTalk:Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as abold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you cannominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility.Message delivered byLegobot, on behalf ofSportsfan77777 --Sportsfan77777 (talk)08:01, 16 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
Hi! This is a long shot, but I wonder if you can help. 15 years ago you madethis edit that stated thatMay Pen was established as a plantation settlement by the British between 1660 and 1683. Do you have any recollection of the source you used for that? OnTalk:May Pen we're trying to determine whether it was apen (Jamaican cattle farm) before it was named after Rev. William May who was there in the 1700s. —SMALLJIM 13:30, 11 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
- Hi, User:Smalljim! I can't remember the source that I used (also can't believe it's been 15 years! lol). But I did a quick Google search and was able to findthis article (pg 6). Not sure of the origin of the name "May Pen" per se, but the article mentions the establishment of a plantation settlement by the British in the 1600s. Hope this helps. I'll keep looking and let you know if I find anything else. Cheers!Journalist .talk23:10, 11 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
- Thanks for your help, that's great! There's one niggle - since that document was published in 2012 and it uses the exact same words that were in our article at the time (and the words around it are similar too) one has to consider whether the UN copied the text from Wikipedia. Would they do that, I wonder? It's surprising where our words can turn up! I tried the internet archive wayback machine to see if they'd stored an earlier version of the document, but no luck. Best, —SMALLJIM 23:56, 11 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
- Yes, it's possible that they may have gotten it from Wikipedia. Never thought of that! I'm sure I found it somewhere, so I'll keep looking and let you know if/when I find anything.Journalist .talk04:03, 12 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently editedLaureus World Sports Award for Sportswoman of the Year, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation pageAthletics. Such links areusually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles.(Read theFAQ • Join us at theDPL WikiProject.)
