Ureshino (嬉野町,Ureshino-chō) was atown located inIchishi District,Mie Prefecture,Japan.
As of 2003, the town had an estimatedpopulation of 18,597 and adensity of 238.45 persons per km2. The total area was 77.99 km2.
On January 1, 2005, Ureshino, along the town ofMikumo (also fromIchishi District), and the towns ofIinan andIitaka (both fromIinan District), was merged into the expanded city ofMatsusaka and thus no longer exists as an independentmunicipality.[1]
