Tetsuo Morimoto (森本 哲生,Morimoto Tetsuo, born September 29, 1949) is a formerJapanesepolitician of theDemocratic Party of Japan, who served as a member of theHouse of Representatives in theDiet (national legislature) from 2005 to 2012.

editA native ofIinan, Mie and graduate ofTsu City College, he worked at the government of the town of Iinan from 1968 to 1998.
Political career
editHe was elected to the first of his two terms in the assembly ofMie Prefecture in 1999 and to the House of Representatives for the first time in 2005.
