I wonder ... did the director "want to make it pretentious ..."? Perhaps he did.
Do we really need that ugly link telling us whenThe Band Wagon was released? I'm pretty sure that the accurate date for this film as well as MGM making it can be found in several resources on and off the web.THE evil fluffyface16:58, 27 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Image:The Band Wagon.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used underfair use but there is noexplanation or rationale as to why its use inthis Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to theboilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent withfair use.
Please go tothe image description page and edit it to include afair use rationale. Using one of the templates atWikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described oncriteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at theMedia copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot07:22, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
In his song "Dangerous," Michael Jackson uses the line "she came at me in sections" from the "Girl Hunt Ballet." Any lyric website, if not the actual album jacket itself can be used for citation.— Precedingunsigned comment added by70.236.76.219 (talk)19:21, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

The references to "You Rock My World" in the "Impact" section should probably be separated from info regarding "Smooth Criminal" (a clear homage) and pared down to just the line about choreography. It's accurate that Jackson revives some of the choreography fromThe Band Wagon; but, the video more explicitly referencesOn the Waterfront, and the fashion is more 1950s Cuban.
