Catalan donkey

edit

Bit of an oversight not to mention theCatalan donkey even in the 'See also' section. It would make most sense to have a 'varieties' or 'breeds' section and then mention the Burro, Catalan donkey and perhaps wild breeds. I'm sure there are other varieties out there too with pages.— Precedingunsigned comment added by37.172.66.58 (talkcontribs) at 1:10 on 20 Sept 2020 (UTC)

Are all asses donkeys?

edit

My understanding was that all donkeys are asses, but not all asses are donkeys: that a donkey is a domesticated strain of ass. Wild asses, meanwhile, are undomesticated asses. Am I incorrect in this? Another editor recently revised the lead to conflate the two terms and I am not sure that’s correct.Jtrevor99 (talk)15:15, 28 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Anyone? Should the article title be changed to “Ass” or would that be a problem due to disambiguation?Jtrevor99 (talk)14:42, 24 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I’m going to give this another week or so. If no one replies or disagrees, I will retitle the article to “Ass”, redirect Donkey to it, and try to clarify the difference between the two in the article.Jtrevor99 (talk)16:37, 25 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
