Ranboo (born November 2, 2003) is an AmericanYouTuber andTwitch streamer primarily known for theirMinecraft content. They gained popularity after their inclusion in theDream SMP[2][3] and competing inMC Championship.[3] As of September 2024, they have 4.4 million followers and over 100 thousand subscribers on Twitch, making them the 57thmost-followed Twitch streamer overall and the 12thmost-subscribed Twitch streamer overall.[4]

Ranboo created their account on January 30, 2020.[5][6] They uploaded their first video on August 13, 2020 titled 'I decided to play skywars, it was a nightmare'.[7] They upload a wide range of videos, with their most popular videos beingcookingvlogs.[citation needed]

Livestreaming

Ranboo reportedly began livestreaming a month after their first video went public and gained following after fellow streamer Punz raided their streams with over 5,000 viewers.[5] Ranboo streams a variety of games, including real life streams.[8]

Ranboo joined theDream SMP after planning to run for president of L'Manberg despite not being on the server. They gained recognition from the owner of the server,Dream, and received an invite to the SMP.[5]

Misfits Gaming

In 2022, Ranboo joinedMisfits Gaming as part of its content creator section. On February 8, 2024, Ranboo announced they were no longer with Misfits Gaming.[6][9][10]

Generation Loss: The Social Experiments

Generation Loss: The Social Experiments (commonly referred to as Generation Loss or Genloss) is aanalog horrorcomedy[citation needed]ARG created by Ranboo in 2023. It was livestreamed on Twitch and has almost four hours of content to be watched.[11][unreliable source?] The series later was nominated at the2023 streamer awards.[12]

The Sorry Boys

In 2023, Ranboo, along with fellow Twitch streamers and YouTubersTommyInnit,Wilbur Soot, Slimecicle, andPhilza, started a new comedy group YouTube channel called The Sorry Boys. The channel mainly posted sketch comedy group vlog content.[13] The group officially went on an indefinite hiatus in March 2024[14] due to fellow content creator, Shubble, alleging abuse and other questionable behaviours by Wilbur Soot towards her during their relationship.[15]

Ranboo has stated they would like to beunlabeled.[8][17] Ranboo uses they/he pronouns. Ranboo wears a mask to cover their identity.[8]

Charity

On February 20, 2021, Ranboo hosted asubathon forThe Trevor Project.[18][19] They reportedly raised over $100,000.[citation needed]

In June 2022, Ranboo participated in aMinecraft charity tournament held byMC Championship calledMCC Pride with several other online creators. The event managed to raise over $145,000 forThe Trevor Project.[20][21]
