Families and genera

Procarididea is aninfraorder ofdecapods, comprising only thirteen species. Six of these are in the generaProcaris andVetericaris, which together make up thefamilyProcarididae. The remaining seven species are only known fromfossils, one belonging to the genusUdorella (the sole member of the familyUdorellidae)[1][2] and the other six belonging to the genusUdora, which cannot yet be assigned to any family.[3][4]

Thecladogram below shows Procarididea's relationships to other relatives withinDecapoda, from analysis by Wolfeet al., 2019.[5]
