Paranan, also calledPalanan, is aPhilippine language belonging to theNorthern Luzon languages.[2] It is spoken in the northeastern coastal areas ofIsabela,Philippines.
Lexically but not grammatically, it is extremely close toPahanan Agta as groups of both languages were together isolated from other communities and remained in constant interaction.[3] The ISO 639-3 code is nowprf; it had beenagp which included Pahanan Agta.[4]
