Neisatuo Mero (born 1976)[1] is an Indian politician fromNagaland. He is anMLA fromPfutsero Assembly constituency, which is reserved forScheduled Tribes, inPhek district. He won the2023 Nagaland Legislative Assembly election, as an independent candidate.[2][3]
Mero is fromPfutsero, Phek district, Nagaland.[4] He is the son of late Ditsozu Mero. He completed his BDS in 1995 atGauhati University. His wife is in government service.[1]
Mero won from Pfutsero Assembly constituency as an independent candidate in the 2023 Nagaland Legislative Assembly election. He polled 7,995 votes and defeated his nearest rival and sitting MLA,Neiba Kronu of theNationalist Democratic Progressive Party, by a margin of 104 votes.[5][6][7] It was a big shock to the NDPP, as Kronu was a cabinet minister for land revenue and parliamentary affairs.[8]
