Mark Healey is a Britishvideo game developer fromIpswich, Suffolk. Healey started his career making games for theCommodore 64 home computer – his first published game wasKGB Super Spy forCodemasters, which led to developing the educationalFun School series of games forEuropress Software.
Healey joinedBullfrog Productions to work withPeter Molyneux on titles such asMagic Carpet andDungeon Keeper. When Molyneux left Bullfrog to formLionhead Studios, Healey joined him, and worked as a senior artist onBlack & White andFable. Whilst still at Lionhead, he developedRag Doll Kung Fu independently in his spare time, which was the first third party game to be distributed overSteam -Valve's online distribution system.[1]
In 2006, He co-foundedMedia Molecule with Kareem Ettouney, David Smith, and Alex Evans.[2] Healey served ascreative director ofLittleBigPlanet,LittleBigPlanet 2 andDreams.[3]
In April 2023, Healey announced he would be leaving Media Molecule.[4]
