TheLopan (Russian and Ukrainian: Лопань) is ariver that rises inBelgorod Oblast ofRussia and flows across the Russian-Ukrainian border intoKharkiv Oblast where it joins theUdy inKharkiv. The river is 93 kilometres (58 mi) long. The riverKharkiv is one of its tributaries.
