Kakekomi (駆込み女と駆出し男,Kakekomi Onna to Kakedashi Otoko) is a 2015 Japanesejidaigekidrama film directed byMasato Harada. It was released in Japan on May 16, 2015.[1][2]

Production
editKakekomi's screenplay was based on the novel Tokeiji Hanadayori by Hisashi Inoue.
The film was shot atEngyō-ji Temple inHimeji. Director Masato Harada first saw the location while filming The Last Samurai.[3][4]
Reception
editOn its opening weekend the film grossed¥157.585 million at the Japanese box office.[5] Zahraa Mubarak of 'High on Films' Website called Kakekomi "a shocking and intense experience" in herreview of the film.
