Godly discipline

Godly discipline is a term used by early modernProtestant reformers, particularlyPuritans,[1] to describe the regulation of personal and communal behavior according tobiblical standards, often enforced through bothcivil[2] andchurch authorities. This concept could often be in conflict withradical protestant views on individual spirituality.[3]
