Gardone Riviera (Gardesano:Gardù de Riera) is a town andcomune in theprovince of Brescia, inLombardy. It is situated on the western shore ofLake Garda. It is one ofI Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy").[3]

edit- TheVittoriale degli Italiani is a former residence of the poetGabriele D'Annunzio. He donated it to the Italian State before his death. It is now a national monument and houses aMAS fast military ship and the plane on which D'Annunzio raidedVienna.
