GamePad Digital (GPD), officially known asShenzhen GPD Technology Co., Ltd., is a Chinese technology company that develops mainly miniature electronics[1] that has been described aspalmtop/handheld PCs,ultra-mobile PCs, andgaming-focused portables, often viacrowdfunding.
Their first major product was theGPD XD, a handheld game console runningAndroid, designed for running older video games. It was released in late 2015.[2][3] An upgraded version called GPD XD Plus was released in 2018.[4]
In 2017, the company launchedGPD Pocket running onWindows 10 orUbuntu, apalmtop computer and one whichForbes called the "world's smallest laptop" due to its pocketable size.[7][8][9] It was followed up by a second generation GPD Pocket 2, in 2018.[10] A third generation was released by 2021. The GPD Pocket 3 increases the display size to 8-inches.[11][12]
In December 2018, the company introduced the GPD MicroPC.[13] In June 2019, crowdfunding launched for GPD P2 Max, the "world's smallestUltrabook".[14] A second generation was released in 2022.[15]
In 2024, the company also introduced its first standard sizednotebook computer, GPD Duo, with two displays.[16]
