Al-Maasara (Arabic:حي المعصرة)neighborhood is one of the neighborhoods ofCairo Governorate. It is located in the southern region ofCairo Governorate,Egypt. It was previously part of theHelwan neighborhood.[1]

History
editAl-Ma'asara has been a historical area since the ancientEgyptian era. It was called the land of "Goshen", then "Shahran" in theCoptic era, and "Al-Ma'asara" in theIslamic era.[2]
