Edvin Kuč (Albanian:Edvin Kuqi; born 27 October 1993) is a Montenegrin professionalfootballer who plays as adefensive midfielder for Azerbaijani clubNeftçi and theMontenegro national team.

International career

Kuč was eligible to represent three countries on international level, eitherBosnia and Herzegovina,Montenegro orKosovo, with the latter, he has expressed interest in joining.[1] On 19 May 2023, the then head coach of Kosovo,Primož Gliha declared that he did not count on Kuč because of his age,[2] and seven days later, he was called up to theMontenegro national team for the first time.[3]

Personal life

Kuč descends from theKuči[4] from his father and is ofKosovo Albanian descent through his mother,[1] and comes from a family of footballers where his two siblings, Adis andArmisa were professional footballers, the latter is one of the most important players inMontenegro women's national team.[5]
