There are three distinct chemical compounds which aredichlorobenzenes:
- 1,2-Dichlorobenzene orortho-dichlorobenzene;
- 1,3-Dichlorobenzene ormeta-dichlorobenzene;
- 1,4-Dichlorobenzene orpara-dichlorobenzene.
All threeisomers are colorlesschlorobenzenes with the formula C6H4Cl2. They differ structurally based on where the twochlorine atoms are attached to thering.
