Charles Goodman Tebbutt (1860–1944) was an Englishspeed skater[1] andbandy player[2] fromBluntisham,England, inthe Fens ofCambridgeshire whereFen skating was a popular winter activity in the nineteenth century.

He also wrote articles and books aboutspeed skating andbandy, including several chapters in theBadminton Library bookSkating (1892) withJohn Moyer Heathcote.[3] He wrote a chapter on matches in Holland and Sweden inA Handbook of Bandy by Arnold Tebbutt.[4]
He is said to have been the first player to establish the rules of bandy and popularize the sport inNorthern Europe,Sweden,Norway andDenmark.
