Calvin Potter

Calvin Potter (born November 3, 1945) is a retired American teacher andDemocratic politician fromSheboygan County, Wisconsin. He served 8 years in theWisconsin Senate (1991–1999) and 16 years in theState Assembly (1975–1991).[1]

Early life and education

Potter was born and raised inSheboygan, Wisconsin. He graduated fromSheboygan North High School and attended theUniversity of Wisconsin-Sheboygan, before earning hisbachelor's degree fromLakeland College in 1968.[2]

Career

Potter was elected to the Assembly in 1974. Later, he was a member of the Senate. Previously, he had chaired theSheboygan CountyDemocratic Party.
