Bumper Films Ltd was a children'sstop motion animation studio based inWeston-super-Mare,United Kingdom. They were best known for producing the original series ofFireman Sam, (BAFTA nominated 1987) which aired from 1987 to 1994 in the UK.[1] They also producedJoshua Jones, which aired 1992 to1994 ,Star Hill Ponies, which aired from 1998 to 2002, andRocky Hollow, which aired from 1983 to 1987.[citation needed]
After finishing production onStar Hill Ponies, the company becamedormant.[2] Bumper Films retained a stake in theFireman Sam brand when sold by ownersS4C toGullane Entertainment in December 2001.[3]
