Blanchette Brunoy (5 October 1915 – 4 April 2005)[1] was a French actress. She was bornBlanche Bilhaud inParis as the daughter of aphysician, and died inManosque,Alpes-de-Haute-Provence of old age.[2]

editBlanchette Brunoy appeared in over 90film andtelevision productions between 1936 and 1998. She is possibly best-remembered for her roles in such films asJean Renoir'sLa Bête Humaine (1938) andMarcel Carné'sLa Marie du port (1950).
Private life
editShe was the goddaughter of writerGeorges Duhamel. As a young girl she studied acting at theConservatoire de Paris.[3] Blanchette Brunoy was married twice to both actorsRobert Hommet (?–1958) andMaurice Maillot (1961–1968) until their deaths.[4]
