Belemnobatis is an extinctgenus ofrays from theLate Jurassic. It has been regarded as related to other Jurassic rays in the familyAsterodermidae.[1][2] It is possible this genus is awastebasket taxon. It is known from many sites of bothJurassic andCretaceous age throughoutEurope and a singleAsian occurrence in themiddle Jurassic ofThailand.[3][4]
