Barima Point (Spanish:Punta Barima), is a small settlement in theAntonio Díaz municipality ofDelta Amacuro state inVenezuela, at the mouth of theBarima River.
It has a lighthouse, Faro Barima,[2] and a Coast Guard Station.
The city was controlled byBritish Guiana until 1899, when it was returned to Venezuela in theParis Arbitral Award.[3]
