Alaska Mission Operations Center

TheAlaska Mission Operations Center (AMOC) is a U.S.National Security Agency facility located onJoint Base Elmendorf–Richardson inAnchorage,Alaska.[1] The facility is considered one of two "consolidated intelligence centers"[clarification needed] and is supported by the373d Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group of the70th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing of theU.S. Air Force.[1][2] Along with theMisawa Security Operations Center (MSOC) inJapan, the AMOC providescombat intelligence to battlefield commanders,combatant commands, andU.S. Department of Defense leadership.[1] The NSA operation at Elmendorf AFB was a suspectedECHELON ground station.[3]
