TheFourteenth Nagaland Assembly was formed by the members elected in the2023 Nagaland Legislative Assembly election. Elections were held in59 constituencies on 27th February 2023 while the representative forAkuluto was elected unopposed.[1] Votes were counted on 2nd March 2023.[2][3]

The incumbentNorth-East Democratic Alliance consistingBharatiya Janata Party (BJP) andNationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) gained majority in the house after winning 37 seats (25 NDPP + 12 BJP).[4][5]

Hekani Jakhalu Kense fromDimapur III andSalhoutuonuo Kruse fromWestern Angami constituencies became the first womenMLAs in the history of Nagaland. Both got elected as NDPP candidates.[6][7]
