Paul Fix (13 March 1901—14 October 1983) was an American actor of film and television.
Born inDobbs Ferry, New York, Fix is well known to audiences for his multiple appearances inJohn Wayne western films, as well as for the role of Marshal Micah Torrance onThe Rifleman. To genre audiences, he is also known for his portrayal of Dr.Mark Piper inStar Trek's second pilot episode, "Where No Man Has Gone Before". He later portrayed CommanderKronus in "Take the Celestra," an episode of theOriginal Series, which would be one of his last appearances on television prior to his death in 1983.
Fix died inLos Angeles,California as a result ofkidney failure.
