Community Leader

It has been the greatest honor of Ryan's life to serve the residents of Michigan's 39th District as their State Representative. He has fought to make government work for real people and is asking for your support to elect him state senator in the newly drawn 13th senate district.

Husband and Father

Ryan is a lifelong resident of our community. He has been married to his college sweetheart Stacie for over 20 years. They have two daughters, Sloane and Morgan. 

Attorney

Ryan has been licensed for over 20 years, since 2005. He previously sat on the Character & Fitness Committee of the State Bar, as well as the Criminal Jurisprudence & Practice Committee. Ryan was recently honored as a 2025 'Leader in the Law' by Michigan Lawyers Weekly, and has previously been recognized by Lawyers of Distinction, Leading Lawyers, “DBusiness Top Lawyer” for Criminal Law, and as a US Business News “Best Michigan Civil Litigation Lawyer”.

Ryan was also runner-up for the State Bar of Michigan's Young Lawyer's Division “Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year Award”, was named to “Michigan Top Lawyers” for Litigation, and was honored as an Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson’s “Elite 40 under 40.”

Fighter for Justice

As a former prosecutor, and advisor to police departments and local governments, Ryan understands how good laws and law enforcement protect people - and how outdated laws, uncaring bureaucracies and red tape hurt people. 

Ryan is currently an Auxiliary Police Officer, and previously served as a Reserve Police Officer in Sylvan Lake, and was a Reserve Deputy with the Oakland County Sheriff's Office. Ryan was also formerly a Special Assistant State Attorney.
