Everything office users now want and expect from their workplaces is encapsulated in one building: a sustainably operated, healthy working environment, at the heart of the Mediaspree submarket.
Connecting the vibrant districts of Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, EDGE East Side stands tall at 140 metres high with an impressive gross floor area of 80,000 m² and 65,000 m² of office space.
The building is serviced by 14 elevators, including eight innovative double-deck elevators by KONE. Bjarke Ingels Group’s visionary design marries modern urban aesthetics with nature's touch. The result? Breezy, welcoming spaces that adapt effortlessly over time, offering boundless creative potential throughout the structure's lifespan.
The high-rise demonstrates Edge’s commitment to sustainability via smart technology, incorporating the use of recyclable products and VOC-free materials as well as intelligent building energy management. The development seamlessly blends private, semi-public, and public spaces to create a cohesive link between the commercial zone near Mercedes-Benz Arena and the area across Warschauer Brücke, extending even beyond the railway tracks.
To achieve this, significant portions of the first four floors and the 35th floor will be open to the public during regular business hours, offering vibrant spaces for visitors to explore and enjoy. In collaboration with local authorities and community partners, a comprehensive usage strategy is being crafted, which will include plans for the temporary utilisation of these spaces.
EDGE East Side stands at the heart of the Mediaspree submarket, situated right next to the Warschauer Straße transport hub in central Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. This prime location ensures excellent connectivity throughout Berlin.
Once known primarily for startups and media companies, Mediaspree has evolved into one of Europe's most vibrant urban office districts. It now represents a unique blend of traditional and modern industries. This fusion is exemplified by major tenants like Uber Eats and Zalando, both of which have secured significant office space in the area.

The 142m tall building, boasting over 65,000 sq m of office space, stands as a landmark in the Berlin skyline. It is serviced by 14 elevators, including eight innovative double-deck elevators by KONE.
These KONE double-deck elevators can even reach an impressive speed of 21.6 km/h, taking only 20.6 seconds to travel from the ground floor to the rooftop.

Designed by world-renowned firm Bjarke Ingels Group, EDGE East Side offers 65.000 m2 of office space across 36 storeys. It features 27 large core office floors on an eight-floor mixed-use podium, with co-working, conferencing, gastronomy, fitness, and urban spaces. Open architecture inspires visitors, while interior concepts support communication and everyday activities.
