Transparency is one of ECHA’s values, alongside integrity, collaboration and innovation. It is at the centre of how we deliver our mandate.

ECHA’s approach to transparency is based on three pillars:

• Clear communication and transparent procedures: we provide predictability through standardised procedures and insight into our regulatory intentions. We communicate our opinions and decisions openly, clearly and courteously.
• Open and participatory decision-making: we provide support to duty holders, engage with all stakeholders in an inclusive manner and actively seek their input in our work.
• Data availability: we make data and information available proactively and provide it in such a way that stakeholders can easily understand and reuse it.
