Galactic Refugees is a shmup that's made to be more approachable than a lot of modern bullet hells. It offers a real challenge at higher levels, but eases in for those who are just getting started with the genre.

Install instructions
The .zip files are the different releases. The .yyz file is the project file, which can be imported into GameMaker Studio 2, regardless of platform. If a chunk of code I've written would help with your work, by all means, take it.
