Prior to their death, the Hero was a youth in their late teens who lived a quiet life with their family and fellow villagers. When the Hero was born, theGalapogod stood up and roared, his cries echoing all through out the island. This was taken as a sign by the village elders of the infant having a powerful destiny, particularly the grandmotherlyTenda.
