Thebronze shield is a recurring shield in theDragon Quest series which made its first appearance inDragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation. It is a low-level shield made out of beaten bronze plates.

The bronze shield has aDefence bonus of +7. It can be equipped by theHero,Warriors,Priests,Merchants,Thieves, andSages. However, the Sage loses the ability to equip it in remakes. It can be purchased for 250gold coins (180 in theNES Version) fromRomaria,Khoryv,Asham, andTheddon and sold for 187 (135 in theNES Version). It can also be dropped byCrabber dabber doos. One can be found in theSkyfell Tower in s of the game.
